About the artist

My name is Sergey Sokolkov. I am a Russian artist and sculptor living and working in Omsk. I create paintings, drawings and sculpture for private collections, interiors and public spaces.

Sergey Sokolkov

I paint portraits, figurative and abstract compositions, and draw on paper. People, faces and animals often appear in my work. I may explore the same subject in drawing, painting and sculpture.

I make small sculptures for homes and collections, as well as monuments and public art. I work with metal, wood, glass and chamotte. For each project, I choose the material and dimensions to suit its setting.

My completed projects include the Railway Worker Monument on Railway Station Square in Omsk, Peter and Fevronia in the park beside the church in Purpe, and the sculptures on Mikhail Sargin Embankment in Tarko-Sale. I identify proposed concepts separately in the portfolio: the Yegor Letov monument for Omsk, for example, is presented as a proposal.

You can choose an existing work or commission a project. To begin, tell me what you need and where the work will be placed. If you have a photograph of the space, preferred dimensions or a schedule in mind, include them. We can then discuss sketches, materials, cost and how to proceed.
