Fragment of Balance I

About the work

A dark wooden support with a semicircular opening holds an irregular piece of glass. An amber upper section, black band and small blue projection establish its own colour rhythm. The opening between the parts makes the construction clearly legible.

The work contrasts a substantial base with a visually fragile upper element, and strict geometry with the glass’s irregular edge. Changing light alters the transparency and saturation of the coloured fragment, while the wood retains a stable dark silhouette.

This small-scale sculpture combines wood and glass with the artist’s painted finish. A unique work.
