Architecture of Impulse

About the work

Inclined bundles of strokes intersect across the upper sheet, suggesting a framework. Below them sit a spoked circle and a cluster of smaller forms. Density and direction change markedly from top to bottom.

The composition combines structural order with rapid, free marks. The circle anchors the inclined elements without cancelling their movement. This interaction between a stable scheme and an active line develops the tension contained in the title.
