About the work

An elongated rectangle contains circles, spirals, dotted chains and short slanting branches. Two large spirals sit at different heights, while an arrow in the upper right points down and left. Individual signs resemble commas or notes but connect to angular partitions and vertical rows. Pale intervals divide the drawing into distinct groups.

Repetition does not make the arrangement uniform. Loose rounded signs dominate above, straight boundaries appear in the middle, and the drawing opens around a spiral again below. The arrow introduces a specific direction among these returning movements. Its diagonal connects separated groups without turning them into a continuous narrative. The image sits between a familiar form of notation and a freely developing ornament, where meaning gives way to placement, spacing and rhythm.
