A Face with Four Eyes

About the work

At the centre of an open field sits a square head with four small eyes divided by a cross. A broad rounded outline beneath it suggests shoulders or an open frame; long lines with looped ends extend from it. Two more rectangular faces stand on the left, while a tall curved profile rises on the right. Arrows and spirals mark the ends of these slender structures.

Large empty areas give every turn of the line particular weight. The closed central head appears stable as surrounding forms stretch and change direction. A lower loop and a long horizontal hold the scattered elements together. Consistent line pressure brings face, body and free flourish into the same visual language.
