Palm Before a Large Face

About the work

A large rounded face fills the upper sheet, bordered by a row of small heads with different expressions. A long palm rises in front of it, flanked by two outward-facing profiles and broad jagged contours. Another figure with a bent arm appears below. A band bearing the exclamation “ОПА!!!” extends from its mouth towards the left edge.

Several scales coexist without tonal modelling. The large face's empty surface contrasts with the closely repeated heads around its perimeter. The raised palm establishes a firm vertical among spreading contours. Fine lines and generous unfilled areas keep the composition light despite overlapping figures and emphatic facial expressions.
