Tall Figure among Birds

About the work

A tall dark figure extends through almost the full height of the sheet. White slits indicate eyes and small parts of the body; toothed shapes and fine contours project from its sides. Small winged silhouettes fly around it, while a smaller bent character appears at the lower right. Short curved strokes fill the space between them, growing denser near the lower horizontal.

The difference in scale establishes a clear hierarchy, but small marks keep attention moving beyond the central silhouette. Narrow pale bands divide the black mass internally. Winged forms carry a lateral movement across its axis. Heavy feet and long shadows anchor the figure below, while the closely marked surroundings sharpen its boundaries.
