About the work

A narrow building with a tall triangular roof stands between two elongated figures. Crosswise hatching follows the roof slopes, while two dark window openings divide the pale facade. On the left, a long arm rises alongside the roof towards its sharp peak; a smaller figure on the right faces the house. Vertical notches surround the building’s base. Closely spaced diagonals mark the ground beneath long leg contours.

Figures and architecture share narrow, upright proportions. The raised arm continues the architectural diagonal, tying gesture to structure. Dark windows hold the centre, and open areas on either side stress the closeness of the group. Changes in hatching density distinguish roof, openings and ground within a restrained tonal range.
