Circles on a Pink Grid

About the work

Dark lines cross a pinkish-grey field, connecting circles, small faces and long-rayed forms. Several horizontals and verticals establish an incomplete grid, overlaid by arcs and chains of rounded nodes. A large radiating shape concentrates the drawing in the lower left. Pale areas alternate with pink and brown passages whose boundaries do not follow the linear figures.

The independent colour layer and straight connections create the main spatial tension. Lines gather signs into groups, then cross them without establishing depth. Circles recur at different scales, from tiny nodes to large sun-like discs. The dense lower corner balances a more open right side, where wider intervals reveal the ground’s own pattern.
