About the work
Heart arches, rings, birds and colonnades form a sequence along the wedding route. Their silhouettes vary in scale and complexity: larger forms mark passages and stopping points, while smaller figures invite attention to detail.
Movement between the objects unifies the ensemble. The rotunda and colonnades frame spaces, and a continuous bench connects parts of the route. Sculpture works here alongside architecture and the square’s everyday use.
The square stands beside the Palace of Celebrations at 5 Svobody Boulevard, a city venue for wedding and family ceremonies. The complex was completed in 2023–2024. Sergey Sokolkov designed and realised the sculptural language of its thematic objects and small architectural forms: bronze and copper accents, metal art objects, the architectural concrete of the rotunda and colonnades, and a 110-metre timber bench on a concrete base. The setting is intended for walking, photography and outdoor ceremonies, bringing a personal event into the scale of the city.
