About the work

I created Noble Deer for Sargin Embankment in Tarko-Sale. The five-metre sculpture is made of welded aluminium. This page brings together photographs of fabrication, transport and installation, a short night-installation video and the completed work.

The sculpture is part of the Mikhail Sargin Embankment project in Yamal. The project was supported by NOVATEK, with VIS Group as general contractor.

The story of Noble Deer

From individual aluminium components to installation on the embankment. The completed sculpture stands 5 metres tall.

Fabrication

Individual aluminium components came first, followed by welding and assembly of the large sections. These photographs show the real scale of the work.

Transport and installation

After the workshop came the journey to Tarko-Sale and installation on the plinth. The photographs and short video record crane installation by night and day.
