About the work
A white marble volume stands on a stepped base beside a dark granite slab. The Jerusalem cross is assembled from smalt: from a distance it reads as a single sign, while closer viewing reveals its mosaic structure.
The restrained composition contrasts pale and dark stone, smooth planes and small pieces of smalt. The base’s geometry and the precise meeting of materials give it a clear, composed character.
