About the work

A rounded red-orange mass occupies almost the entire field. Black specks mark its surface and its uneven edge is surrounded by pale bands and yellow passages. The large form reads both as a single shape and as an accumulation of small details.

The title’s abruptness is reinforced by the colour and loose structure of the image. Tension arises between the rounded silhouette and its dispersing edges, combining a recognisable form with its visual disintegration.
