About the work
Circles recur in all three panels, changing scale and setting. On the left, a round form meets a shape resembling an open hand; at the centre, rings sit within one another; on the right, black arcs carry their movement. A shared reddish palette unites the panels.
The gaps between canvases create pauses, while the recurring motif invites comparison. The triptych presents a sequence of transformations: each panel tests the stability of the circle through a different drawing and distribution of colour.
